The Coastal Patrol’s Harbour Markets are an institution in the South Coast town.
Usually held on the second Sunday of each month, the craft and produce bonanza attracts stall-holders and visitors from far and near.
There are often more than 100 stalls at the colourful event which is the division’s most important fund-raising effort.
Many of the traders are regulars who have been attending the markets for many years. Others are casual vendors who make seasonal visits.
All are welcome and encouraged to contact the base to secure a site well in advance. A site fee of $25 is required at least five days before market day.
Prospective stall-holders should also be ready to provide details of the goods for sale, their name and a contact telephone number.
They should also be able provide a copy of their public risk insurance policy.
Entry to the site by members of the public is by donation and uniformed division members are on duty at the gates to provide guidance and take donations.
To enquire about sites or make a booking, ring the contact number on this page and speak to the operator or leave a message for a market coordinator to call you.
